Past: STEPS TO STOP SKIN CANCER/MELANOMA

CCMAC's Inuagural Walk was a huge success thanks to the overwhelming response of Long Islanders from the Hamptons to Queens, NY.

Many expressed their desire to continue educating the community to the ever growing danger of Skin Cancer/Melanoma. It was an opportunity for Survivors, those still in treatment and families who had lost a loved one to come together and share their journey together. The morning was filled with hope and determination. CCMAC is grateful to all who participated, estimated to be over 300 walkers. We particularly wish to recognize News 12, 102.7 talk radio, Sperry Credit Union, Whole Foods and Joe Greblunas for contributing to our success. The snaks, fruit and water were most welcome.

Past: CCMAC's Dinner Dance & Auction

Our past dinner dances have been a financial success thanks to our Corporate Sponsors, Schering- Plough Healthcare Products Inc. and Wyeth- Ayerst Pharmacuticals.

Our gratitude also to The Harley & Marie-Christine Lippman Foundation Inc. and 1199 Health & Welfare Union in addition to Cablevision Systems continued support and WCBS/FM Radio.

Recognizing the importance of community support, we thank not only those in attendance but also all those who though unable to attend, contributed monetarily to our goal. Many commented on the delicious food served by the New Hyde Park Inn and of course the enjoyable music by Jay Leno who donated his talents for the evening. Together
we can and will change attitudes regarding sun exposure and hopefully save lives.
